ITALY, Kingdom of Salerno. William II, 1166-1189. Tari (Gold, 19 mm, 0.82 g, 6 h). Arabic legend: King William the Second around star. Rev. Arabic legend: Protector of Christianity around. W. Biaggi 2298. MEC 14, III, 410. Spahr (Bank Leu/Münzen und Medaillen 1987), 157. Very rare. A clear and attractive specimen. Minor edge cut and two minor flan cracks, otherwise, about extremely fine.
