Description
KINGS OF PERSIS. Uncertain king, 2nd century BC. Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.67 g, 12 h), Istakhr (Persepolis). Diademed head of king with short beard right, wearing kyrbasia surmounted by an eagle. Rev. Fire temple with Ahura-Mazda above; to left, king standing right; to right, standard surmounted by an eagle. Alram 553. Klose & Müseler 3/7. Sunrise -. Van't Haaff Type 553. Very fine.
