The Peace of Rijswijck, between France and the Empire, ended one of the constant wars between those two opponents. On the obverse, we see the Hapsburg arms shutting off the sun; a symbol of France, and Louis XIV in particular. On the reverse, the Imperial eagle is tearing apart a lily - another symbol of France!
