Ferdinand III, 1637-1657. 3 Ducat Klippe (Silver, 31 x 31 mm, 8.19 g, 12 h), square, klippe, medallion with a rose in each angle, on the Peace of Westphalia, 1650 and, on the reverse, MDCL. IMPER:FERDINANDO.III.P:F:AUGUSTO around seven-line inscription, GEDACHTNVS / DES FRIEDEN / VOLLZIEHVNGS / SCHLVSS / IN NVRNBERG / 1650 / 16 IVNII, with, above, the arms of Nuremberg between an olive and a palm branch. Rev. + MAGNAS FERTE DEO GRATES PRO PACE RELATA: Two hands reaching up from the Earth to receive an olive wreath offered from the clouds by the hand of God. Erlanger 527. Kellner 44. Attractive and historically interesting. Has been mounted, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
