BAKTRIA, Indo-Greek Kingdom. Lysias, circa 130-125 BC. Drachm (Silver, 12 mm, 2.42 g, 12 h). BAΣIΛEΩΣ ANIKHTOΥ / ΛΥΣIOΥ Diademed and draped bust of Lysias to right, wearing elephant's skin headdress. Rev. Maharajasa apadihatasa / Lisikasa (in Karoshti) Herakles standing facing, crowning himself with wreath held in right hand and cradling club and palm frond in left arm draped with lion skin; in inner left field, monogram. Bopearachchi 4C. HGC 12, 240. SNG ANS 1032-4. Well centered and lightly toned. Old scratch on cheek, otherwise, nearly very fine.
