MESOPOTAMIA. Babylon. Uncertain satraps of Babylon, circa 328-311 BC. Daric (Gold, 17 mm, 8.39 g, 6 h). Persian king, wearing kidaris and kandys, in the kneeling/running stance to right, with a quiver over his shoulders, and holding a short spear in his right hand and a bow in his left. Rev. Wavy-patterned oblong punch. Cf. Nicolet-Pierre 12 ( control ). Cf. Sunrise 159 ( same ). Unpublished without control marks. Obverse somewhat flatly struck and with an uncertain banker's mark , otherwise, very fine.
