AKARNANIA. Thyrrheion. Circa 350-300 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 8.60 g, 6 h). Pegasos flying left with straight wings; below, Θ. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to left, wearing pearl necklace and Corinthian helmet with leather neck guard; behind head, ΘΥ; in field to right, elaborate pendant earring; below chin, ΛΟ. BCD 372 (same reverse die). Calciati 16. Very rare variety, struck in good silver. Good very fine.
