John V Palaeologus, with John VI, 1341-1391. Basilikon (Silver, 18 mm, 1.07 g, 12 h), Constantinople. IWE/XW O/Π/Α Ε-Φ John V, nimbate on horseback right, holding cruciform scepter in right hand. Rev. IWE/XW O/ΠΑ Β-Α John VI, nimbate on horseback right, holding cruciform scepter in right hand. DOC -. LPC p. 144, 7. PCPC 292. SB 2532. Wonderful light tone and lovely sharp strike. Hiarline flan crack, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
