IONIA. Smyrna. Britannicus, struck under his father, the Emperor Claudius, 41-55. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 16 mm, 2.80 g, 1 h), struck under the magistrates Philistos and Eikadios, c. 50-54. [ZMY] Bare-headed and draped bust of Britannicus to right. Rev. EΠI ΦIΛIΣTOY EIKAΔI/OΣ Nike advancing to right, holding a trophy over her right shoulder with her right hand. RPC 2476. SNG Copenhagen 1351. SNG von Aulock 7995. Dark green patina. Surfaces a little rough and obverse off centre, otherwise, very fine.
