Divus Vespasian, died 79. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.14 g, 6 h), Rome, under Titus, 80-81. DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS· Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. Foreparts of two capricorns back to back, supporting a round shield inscribed S C; below, globe. BMC 129-34 (Titus). BN 101 (Titus). Cohen 497. RIC² 357 (Titus). Wonderfully toned, nicely centered and struck. Extremely fine.
