COL I-VL D[IENSIS] / D [D] Roma standing to right, holding spear in her left hand and presenting patera held in her right hand to Jupiter seated to left and holding scepter in his left hand. Kremydi-Sicilianou 27. Cf. Varbanov 3556 ( obv. legend ). Scarce, and with an attractive brown patina. Very fine.
The initials D D stand for "Decreto Decurionum", which testifies that the mintage of the coinage was authorized by a relative decree of the Senate of Dium.
