Pixodaros, Circa 341/0-336/5 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 3.80 g, 1 h), Halikarnassos. Laureate head of Apollo three-quarter facing to right, with the top of his cloak visible at the neckline. Rev. ΠΙΞΩΔΑΡΟΥ Zeus Labraundos standing to right, holding long scepter in his left hand and double-ax in his right. Karl 41. SNG Copenhagen 598-9. SNG von Aulock 2377. An attractive, lightly toned coin, with an obverse head in high relief. About extremely fine.
