Abydos. Circa 175-75 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 15.72 g, 1 h), struck under the magistrate Menedemos. Draped bust of Artemis to right, with bow and quiver over her shoulder. Rev. ABH-ΔH-NΩN / ΜEΝEΔΗΜΟΥ Eagle standing right with spread wings; to right, stag standing to right; all within laurel wreath tied at the bottom. Bold, attractive and clear. Good very fine.
