Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.16 g, 10 h), struck during the reigns of Kassander and Demetrius Poliorketes, Corinth, c. 310-290. Head of youthful Herakles in lion's skin headdress to right. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated to left on throne with a plain back, holding eagle on his outstretched right hand and long scepter in his left; in field to left, horse's head to left; below throne, ΔΕ. Noe 34. Price 690. Clear, well-centered and attractive. About extremely fine.
