Remi. Lucotios, Circa 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 21.5 mm, 6.06 g, 9 h), "à l'oeil" type. LVCOTIOS Degenerated head of Apollo, in the form of an eye, to right; in field to right, three stars. Rev. LVCOTIOS Celticized horse galloping to left; below, pellet-in-annulet within pelleted circle. De la Tour 8821. D & T 592. Scheers pl. 8, 228. Scarcely encountered with both inscriptions on the flan. Flan breaks and lightly struck on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
