Andronicus III Palaeologus, 1328-1341. Tornese (Billon, 15.5 mm, 0.48 g, 6 h), "Politikon" coinage, Constantinople. ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΟΝ Facing bust of the Virgin orans. Rev. Α/Ν/Δ/Ν - Γ/Ο/Α - Δ/Μ/Η/Ν Two three-quarter length facing figures of Andronicus III and St. Demetrius. DOC 885. SB 2570. Rare. Crudely struck and possibly clipped, otherwise, very fine.
