Andronicus II Palaeologus, with Michael IX, 1282-1328. Assarion (Copper, 20 mm, 1.92 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1294-1320. Facing bust of the Archangel Michael, nimbate and winged, holding scepter and globus. Rev. AYTO [..]ΩNK / IC-XC Facing half-length figure of Christ, blessing the two emperors kneeling beside him. DOC 677-80. LPC p. 88, 36. PCPC 168. SB 2435. Fine brown patina. Very fine.
