Manuel I Comnenus, 1143-1180. Tetarteron (Copper, 20.5 mm, 4.37 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 1164-1167 (?). Facing bust of the Virgin Mary, orans . Rev. MANOY ΔEC Crowned facing bust of Manuel I, holding labarum with his right hand and globus cruciger with his left. DOC 17a. SB 1970. In unusually fine condition for this issue. Sharply struck and with an attractive brown patina. About extremely fine.
