Description
Anonymous Folles, time of Romanus IV, circa 1068-1071. Follis (Bronze, 29 mm, 6.34 g, 5 h), Class G, Constantinople. IC XC Facing bust of Christ Pantokrator. Rev. MP ΘY Facing bust of the Theotokos orans. DOC G.1-28. SB 1867. Attractive green patina. Very well preserved for the issue. Slightly irregular flan, otherwise, very fine.
