Heraclius, 610-641. Tremissis (Gold, 16 mm, 1.43 g, 6 h), Constantinople, 610-613. d N hRACLIЧS P AVI (sic! ) Diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Heraclius to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGЧ / CONOB Cross potent. Cf. DOC 53d and SB 786 for the basic type. Other examples with the same erroneous obverse are: Roma e-sale 57, 2019, 1184 and Pecunem 29, 2015, 701. Clear. Slightly crinkled, otherwise, very fine.
