CARIA. Antiochia ad Maeandrum. Augustus (?), 27 BC-AD 14. Hemiassarion (Bronze, 15.5 mm, 2.61 g, 12 h), struck under Paionios, member of the synarchia. CEB-A-CTOC Bare head of Augustus to right. Rev. ΠAIΩNIOY CYNAPXIA TOY - ANTI/OXEΩN Athena standing to left, holding spear in her right hand and shield in her left. BMC 28. RPC I 2834. SNG München 76. Sharply struck and very clear. Obverse struck slightly off-centre, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
