Male head to right, wearing bashlyk and bearing three countermarks: on head, Macedonian helmet within a circular incuse; on neck, facing gorgoneion within a circular incuse. Rev. Star of eight rays; two monograms and bow on the fields. HGC 7, 310. SNG Black Sea 972-5. SNG Stancomb 648. Attractive glossy dark green surfaces, and with a particularly bold portrait. Struck on a very thick and tight flan, otherwise, very fine.
