Kingdom of Macedon. Alexander III 'the Great' AR Drachm. (17mm, 3.77 g) Sardes, circa 322-318 BC. Struck under Philip III Arrhidaios. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion's skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; torch in left field, A below throne.
