Description
KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great' (336-323 BC). Tetradrachm. (26mm, 16.98 g) Tyre. Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin. Rev: AΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ. Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: monogram in left field; below throne, Λ above strut, monogram below.
