South Arabia, Himyar: 'Amdān Bayān Yahaqbiḍ AR Fraction. Circa AD 100-120. Monogram within circle, Curved symbol above 'WTR' in South Arabian. (0.21g, 8mm) Very Fine. Apparently unpublished with this monogram, only the third known example after the specimens sold by Leu and CNG.
The use of this obverse monogram on coins attributed to 'Amdān Bayān Yahaqbiḍ suggests that this type which was previously only known for Karib'īl Watār Yuhan'im was continued by his successor.
