Description

Lycia, Aperlae Gordian III, 238-244 Bronze circa 238-244, Æ 32.2mm., 20.46g. laureate, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rev. ΑΠƐΡΛƐΙΤWΝ Lighted altar set on podium, decorated with garland and surmounted by baldachin. RPC VII.2 2169.

Extremely rare. Only three specimens listed in RPC and all from public colelctions. Lovely dark green patina, Good Very Fine.
