Description

Phoenicia, Tyre Valerian I, 253-260 Bronze circa 253-260, Æ 27.8mm., 17.95g. Radiate, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rev. Dido founding Carthage. She stands l. holding rule in r. and transverse sceptre in l., while to l. a mason works atop the gate of a city; below, worker r. digs with a pick; behind him, murex shell. Rouvier 2483. RPC X 4196.

Nice green patina, Very Fine.
