Attica, Athens New style Tetradrachm circa 165-150/49, AR 36mm., 16.83g. Helmeted head of Athena r. Rev. Owl standing r., head facing, on amphora; monograms flanking, pileii of the Dioscuri r.; all within wreath. Thompson 60c (this coin).

Attractive old cabinet tone, struck on a large flan, Good Very Fine.

Ex NFA-Leu 16 October 1984, Garrett part II, 218. From The Johns Hopkins University collection. Previously purchased from Spink in 1926 by J.W.G. From and old Canadian collection.
