Apulia, Canusium Bronze circa 225-210, Æ 19mm., 7.05g. Young male head l. Rev. KANYΣINΩN Horseman advancing r., holding spear. SNG ANS 694. Historia Numorum Italy 660.

Rare. Traces of restriking (?) Nice green patina. Very Fine.

According to Rutter in Historia Numorum Italy the male head on obv., could be identified with Scipio Africanus, who sought refuge at Canusium in 216 BC.
