Description

Campania, Calatia Quadrans 216-211, Æ 28.5mm., 23.27g. Laureate head of Zeus r.; behind four pellets. Rev. Fast quadriga r. driven by Victory, in which Jupiter, holding sceptre, hurls thunderbolt; below, four pellets. In exergue, calati in Oscan characters. Sambon 1058. Giard, op. cit., p. 258, 1. Historia Numorum 470 var. (pellets missing).

Excessively rare, only four specimens known. Green patina and Extremely Fine.
