Description

Phocis, Phikian League. Federal Coinage. Bronze struck under Phalaikos, 351 BC, Æ 20.5mm., 9.15g. Three facing bull’s heads with sacrificial fillets, arranged in a triangle, their muzzles inwards and touching. FW-KE-WN circular and clockwise in the spaces between the tops of the bull heads. Rev. Large T in laurel wreath tying above. BMC 93, pl. III, 21. Laffaille 346. SNG Cop 125. BCD Lokris-Phokis 328.
