Description

Lokris, Lokri Opuntii Obol, second quarter of the 4th century BC. AR 9.5mm, 0.82 g. Amphora, O Π l. down, O N r. up. An ivy leaf hangs over the handle from the left side of the vase’s mouth and a bunch of grapes from the right side. Rev. Stylized star of 12 rays of equal length, in its centre a circle of 10 dots with a dot in the middle. The whole in a circle of dots. Corpus group 4. SNG Cop 56. BCD Lokris-Phokis 25.

Rare variety. Very fine.
