Description
Sicily, Leontini Tetradrachm circa 455-440, AR 25.5mm, 17.51 g. Laureate head of Apollo right. Rev. Lion’ head right, with jaws open and tongue protruding; around, four barley grains. SNG Lloyd 1056 (this obverse die). SNG Ashmolean 1787 (this obverse die).
Minor area of weakness on obverse, otherwise good very fine.
