Bound in contemporary maroon half morocco and marbled boards, raised bands, lettered and decorated in gilt, decorative endpapers. The extremities rubbed and worn, particularly to the edges and the spine, the top section of the backstrip cracked and chipped, the front board loose but the contents mostly clean. From the library of Jacob Hirsch, with his library label on the front pastedown and library stamp repeated on the title page. An important catalogue, never publicly distributed and with an attractive provenance. Rare thus.
