Description

Mattingly, H. & Sydenham, E. A. [et al.] Roman Imperial Coinage. Volumes I–X. London; Spink, 1923–1994. Ten volumes complete in thirteen parts. Consisting of; Vol. I. 1923; Vol. II, 1926; Vol. III, 1930; Vol. IV. Part I. 1936; Vol. IV. Part II. 1938; Vol. IV. Part III. 1949; Vol. V. Part I. 1927; Vol. V. Part II. 1933; Vol. VI, 1967; Vol. VII, 1966; Vol. VIII, 1981; Vol. IX, 1951; Vol. X, 1994. Volumes I–V all uniformly bound in green half morocco and marbled boards, raised bands to the spines, gilt in compartments, Volumes VI–X all in the original publisher’s cloth with jackets where issued. Extremities slightly scuffed and a little dusty, the contents mostly clean with only the occasional mark. A fine and complete set of the original editions of this monumental work, the plates superior to those in the later reprints. An essential reference, very rarely offered complete with individual volumes now out of print and becoming difficult to obtain. (13)
