Description

Sambon, A. Les monnaies antiques de l’Italie. Tome premier: Fascicule I–V. Étrurie-Ombrie-Picenum-Samnium-Campanie (Cumes et Naples). Paris; Bureaux du Musée, 1903–1904. Five parts complete. 4to., pp. v, (7), 445, (1); 5 fine plates, further line illustrations in the text. Handsomely bound in red quarter morocco and marbled boards, raised bands, the spine lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers. A little scuffed, particularly to joints, the top edge a little dusty, else a very good copy of this classic work. Scarce.
Clain-Stefanelli 2047*. Daehn 2701. Kroh p. 16, “was for quite some time utilized as the standard reference for these and it is still widely quoted… Originals are rare.”
