London; Published for the British Academy, 1933–1937. Eight parts complete in four volumes. Folio. 1,687 coins illustrated over 59 fine plates, each with a page of descriptive text. Handsomely bound into a single volume of quarter red morocco and marbled boards, raised bands, gilt, the original printed wrappers preserved. Marbled endpapers. A trifle dusty and shelfworn, a few light marks to the original wrappers else internally clean. A very attractive volume. Very fine and seldom offered complete. (4)
Clain-Stefanelli 1913*. Daehn 1969. Kroh p. 14, “The Lloyd collection is confined to the precious-metal Greek coins of Italy and Sicily… The 49 collotype plates are remarkable for their quality and variety. The British Museum later acquired this collection intact and sold or traded many of the duplicates in the 1950’s. Originals of this SNG are of course rare.”
