Sestertius 230, Æ 18.08 g. IMP SEV ALE – XANDER AVG Laureate bust r. with drapery on l. shoulder. Rev. P M TR P V – IIII – COS III P P S – C Sol standing facing, head l., raising r. hand and holding globe. C 393 var (no drapery). BMC 625. RIC 503.
Struck on a very broad flan. Lovely and untouched green patina and extremely fine Seveus Alexander as a young man with a short beard, as also shown in the next specimen. AMP.
