Description

Seleucid kings, Seleucus I Nicator, 312 – 281. Drachm, Susa circa 305-295 BC, AR 3.36 g. Draped bust of Alexander III deified r., wearing helmet covered with panther skin, lowered cheek pieces and adorned with bull's horn and ear. Rev. Nike, wearing long chiton, standing r. and crowning trophy; in lower field, M – shield. ESM 300. SC 174.7.
Very rare. Old cabinet tone and about extremely fine
