Kingdom of Thrace, Lysimachus, 323 – 281 and posthumous issues. Stater, uncertain mint early-mid 3rd century BC, AV 8.48 g. Diademed head of deified Alexander r., with the horn of Ammon. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ – ΛΥΣΙΜΑΚΟΥ Athena enthroned l., holding Nike and spear in r. hand and resting l. elbow on shield decorated with lion's head; in inner l. field, K. Thompson, Essays Robinson, –. Müller 465.
An apparently unrecorded variety. An almost invisible scratch on
reverse, otherwise good extremely fine
