Drachm, Alexandria 140-141 (year 4), Æ 35 mm, 23.60 g. AVT K T AIΛ A?P – ΑΝΤωΝEΙΝΟ? – CEB EVC Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust r. Rev. L Τ?ΤΑΡΤΟV Heracles and the Erymanthian boar: Heracles, wearing lion skin, advancing r., carrying boar over shoulder; to l., club; to r., Eurystheus hiding in storage jar, raising arms. RPC 244. Dattari-Savio pl. 130, 2596. Harlan J. Berk, 100 Greatest Ancient Coins, 96 (this coin illustrated).
Extremely rare and in exceptional condition for the issue, possibly the finest specimen in
private hands. A very interesting and fascinating issue struck on an irregular flan
and with a brown-green patina. Very fine / good very fine
