Pre-reform coinage, 1081-1092. Debased trachy 1082-1087, EL 4.38 g. Christ seated facing on throne, nimbate, wearing tunic and colobium, raising r. hand in benediction and holding Book of Gospels in l.; in field, IC – XC. Rev. +LLEXIw DEC – POT ToKy Facing bust of Alexius, wearing crown, divitision and chlamys , holding sceptre surmounted by pelleted star and globus cruciger . DO T1b. Sear 1893.
