Tetradrachm, Lampsacus circa 297-281, AR 16.94 g. Diademed head of the deified Alexander r., with the horn of Ammon. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩ[Σ ] – ΛΥΣΙΜΑXΟΥ Athena enthroned l., holding Nike and spear in r. hand and resting l. elbow on shield decorated with medusa; in inner l. field, monogram and in outer l. field, aphlaston. Müller 356. Thompson 48.
A bold portrait of excellent style and a light iridescent tone. Unobtrusive edge marks
at nine o'clock on reverse, otherwise good extremely fine
