Carl III of Lorraine, 1695-1711. AV 5 Ducat, no date, Olmutz, 17.32g, 40mm, 11h. DEI GRATIA CAROLVS EPISCOPVS OLOMVCENSIS Bust right wearing elaborate ecclesiastical costume and decorated with the Lorraine cross. Rev. DVX LOTHAR. ET BAR. S: R: I: PCPS. RE. CA. BO. COM. Crowned coat-of-arms set on a Maltese cross and held by two crowned eagles; flanked by sword and shepherd’s crook, two crossed palm branches below (Suchomel-Videman 598; Lichnowsky-Mayer 316; Fr. 86).

Underlying lustre and of great artistic execution,
very rare and uncirculated
