Tetradrachm circa 430-425, AR 17.15 g. Slow quadriga driven r. by charioteer, holding kentron and reins; above, Nike flying r. and crowning horses. Rev. ΓΕΛAΣ Forepart of man-headed bull (the river-god Gelas) r.; in exergue, heron standing l. SNG ANS 81 (this obverse die). Jenkins 399.
Very rare and in unusually condition for this very difficult issue. Lovely old cabinet
