Tremissis, Constantinopolis circa 430-455, AV 1.48 g. AEL PVLCH – ERIA AVG Pearl-diademed and draped bust r., wearing necklace and earrings. Rev. Cross within wreath; in exergue, CONOB*. LRC 446. RIC Theodosius II 334. MIRB 49. Depeyrot 72/4. Struck on a very broad flan, minor marks and obverse from a slightly rusty die, otherwise extremely fine Ex Triton IX, 2006, 1609 and CNG 94, 2013, 1114 sales. From the Ronald J. Hansen Collection.
