A Very Important Series of Coins of Syracuse mostly from a Distinguished European Collector
25 litrae circa 310-305, EL 3.55 g. Laureate head of Apollo l.; behind, eight-pointed star. Rev. ΣΥΡΑΚ – ΟΣΙΩΝ Tripod. SNG ANS 623 (these dies). Carroccio, Basileus, type 10. BMC 258 (these dies). Jenkins, Essays Robinson 156 (O7/R7). In exceptional condition for the issue, undoubtedly among the finest specimens known. A magnificent portrait perfectly struck in high relief.
