A Very Important Series of Coins of Syracuse mostly from a Distinguished European Collector
Didrachm or 10 litrae circa 344-317, AV 0.70 g. Forepart of bull butting l. Rev. ΣYPAK – OΣIΩN Barley ear. SNG ANS 1393 (Agathocles). Giesecke p. 77, 15. AMB 504. Extremely rare and among the finest of only a few specimens known. Perfectly centred on a full flan and extremely fine Ex Tkalec 19 February 2001, 45 and Triton XIX, 2016, 2021 sales.
