Dinomos circa 410-400, AR 15.34 g. Head of Athena r., wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with Scylla scanning and neck guard with griffin; above visor, [Φ]. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting r.; on which flank, VE in monogram. In exergue, fish r. McClean 1254 (these dies). Boston, MFA 157 (these dies). Noe, Thurium B2. Historia Numorum Italy 1781. A portrait of excellent style perfectly struck and centred on a full flan with a wonderful iridescent tone, minor traces of double striking on reverse and surface slightly porous on obverse, otherwise about extremely fine Ex UBS 57, 2003, 61 and Naville Numismatics 7, 2014, 10 sales.
