Greek Coins Syracuse Decadrachm signed work by Euainetos circa 400, AR 41.38 g. Fast quadriga driven l. by charioteer, holding reins and kentron ; above, Nike flying r. to crown him. In exergue, display of military harness set on two steps. Rev. Head of Arethusa (Kore-Persephone) l., wearing barley wreath, triple pendant earring and beaded necklace; around three dolphins, while a fourth makes dorsal contact with neck truncation. Below, EY[AINE]. Jameson 828. Gallatin C I / R III. Rare. Struck on a very broad flan and complete, light iridescent tone, minor areas of porosity, otherwise about extremely fine
